Phyllodistomum bavuri n.sp. from the urinary bladder of Clarius gariepinus from the Kruger National Park, Trasvaal, South Africa, resembles P. linguale and P. vanderwaali, but differs from them in that the ovary is round to oval in shape, sometimes weakly trilobed, and the vitellaria are oval to triangular in outline, occasionally slightly lobed. The new species is much larger than P. vanderwaali (3.49 to 5.18 mm compared with 1.82 to 2.27 mm).
