Parasites of the chaetognath Sagitta setosa in the western English Channel

Parasites of the chaetognath Sagitta setosa in the western English Channel

Marine Biology (Berlin) 92.1: 87-91

Samples of zooplankton were taken one to 3 times/month in 1982-83 off Plymouth, UK. 106 of 10 441 S. setosa contained parasites, in most cases, one parasite species/individual. Hysterothylacium aduncum L3 was the most common (56% of all parasites) of the 8 species of parasites found.
