Two water bodies of the Odessa region, Ukraine, USSR, were investigated for suitability for commercial duck and geese breeding. As judged by the presence of invertebrates, it is concluded that small isolated water bodies are safe from the helminthological point of view, but have a low potential for providing food for the birds.
