Pathogenic specialization of the rice bacterial leaf blight pathogen, Xanthomonas campestris pv. oryzae: race classification based on reactions of Korean differential varieties

Using 201 Korean isolates of the pathogen, 1307 cultivars and promising lines were inoculated and sorted into 4 varietal groups on the basis of reactions. Of the cultivars showing similar reactions to X. campestris pv. oryzae, 5 Korean ones were selected for classification of the pathogen into races.
