Four varieties of winter swede rape (2 synthetics and 2 line varieties, the latter deriving from bulk multiplication in isolation of selected F7 lines), 3 varieties of spring swede rape and 3 of Sinapis alba were studied with 3 rates of nitrogen fertilizer application, 3 pollination variants (open pollination, insect-proof cages without bees and insect-proof cages with bees) at 3 localities over 2 years.
