Abstract
Short accounts, with some results, are presented on about 40 projects that formed part of a research programme on the integrated management of pests and diseases of apples and pears in south-eastern England. They are arranged under the headings management of scab and mildew; orchard fungicides; integrated pest management; orchard pesticides; damage thresholds; bird damage; apple canker; fireblight; replant disease; crown rot; post-harvest diseases; and mycoplasma-like organisms in apples and pears.
