Recent advances in the development of DNA-hybridization probes for the detection and characterization of Trypanosoma cruzi

Recent advances in the development of DNA-hybridization probes for the detection and characterization of Trypanosoma cruzi

Memorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz 79(Special Issue Suppl.): 51-53

The occurrence of abundant, repetitive DNA sequences, both in the nuclear and in the kinetoplast genomes of T. cruzi, has made possible the development of methods for the detection and characterization of T. cruzi through DNA probe technology.
