Research into soil structure and soil fertility from 1970 to 1978 on the crop rotation experimental field de Schreef

Rapport, Instituut voor Bodemvruchtbaarheid (2-80): 33

In an experiment started in 1970 on a heavy lime-containing soil of Eastern Flevoland, no decrease in the organic matter content was observed as a result of using more intensified cropping systems in the form of narrower crop rotations. The potassium content of the soil decreased somewhat. A significant effect of type of rotation on the Pw-value of the soil first appeared clearly in 1977, when a better Pw status was observed under rotations that included potatoes.
