In Egypt, Proteocephalus sulcatus is described for the first time from Clarias lazera and C. anguillaris; Caryophyllaeus laticeps is described from Barbus bynni, and Bothriocephalus barbus recorded from the same host. Marsypocephalus aegyptiacus n.sp. is described and figured from Clarias lazera.
