Spraying in beet: are high pressure and low volume an improvement?

Field trials with the high pressure, low volume (HPLV) technique showed that it did not improve weed control and caused considerably more drift than the conventional spraying method. The use of very small droplets increased the likelihood of blockages, necessitating a fine filter in the pipeline.
