Differences were observed between 4 cultivars in the decrease in number of tuberous and fibrous roots as a response to flooding 1.5 months after planting cuttings in the glasshouse. Okinawa 100, previously reported as resistant, was relatively sensitive. The longer the period of flooding, the fewer tuberous roots were induced.
