Structural change in agriculture from an economic and ecological point of view

Agrarwirtschaft 34(1): 1-9

Structural change in GFR agriculture has been accompanied by intensification of production and in some regions by a considerable degree of specialization. Even if real farm prices should decline more rapidly in future, there would be economic incentives to continue this process, though less rapidly, as this type of change is necessary to increase productivity and farm income.
