Studies of the wood biology of Norway spruce clones with different sensitivities to fumigation with HF



Angewandte Botanik 59(1/2): 81-93



A study was made of the quantity and quality of the wood of 30 Norway spruce clones which were fumigated with HF. Radial increment was studied in the year of fumigation, as well as in the preceding and following years. In the year preceding fumigation, no anatomical differences in the tree rings could be detected between the clones. Latewood formation in the year of fumigation was not affected by the fumigation.
