Dry seeds of 3 lines were irradiated with fast neutrons at three different doses and some of them were in addition exposed to N-nitroso-N-ethylurea at three concentrations. Mutagenic effects, assessed in the M2, were greater after combined treatments than the sum of the respective separate treatments. Interline differences in sensitivity were detected. The optimum dose, in either single or combined treatments, differed among the lines.
