The dwarf mutants from both Calland and Hampton showed an increase in total lipids and a decrease in crude protein content. The prolific branching mutant from Hampton yielded up to 58% more seed/plant. The high yielding mutants achieved an increase in seed yield ranging from 40 to 74% for Calland and 14 to 38% for Hampton. The early mutants from Calland matured 8-12 days earlier and those from Hampton 4-13 days earlier.
