The progesterone and oestradiol-17 beta concentrations in serum samples from 9 were radioimmunoassayed. The progesterone concentration during the oestrous cycle reached a peak of 5.98+or-0.60 ng/ml at 13 days after onset of oestrus, and decreased thereafter; it was <0.90+or-0.02 ng/ml on the 1st day of oestrus. The oestradiol-17 beta concentration showed a peak of 15.97+or-1.72 pg/ml at onset of oestrus, and decreased during luteal phase.
