Studies on the development of improved strains of Japanese beef cattle. 6. Effects of some factors on the Most Probable Producing Ability of Japanese Brown cows

Studies on the development of improved strains of Japanese beef cattle. 6. Effects of some factors on the Most Probable Producing Ability of Japanese Brown cows

Proceedings of the Faculty of Agriculture, Kyushu Tokai University (5): 55-60

Data on weaning weight were collected during 1963-79 on 230 calves, the progeny of 50 Japanese Brown cows. The data were analysed to determine the effects of year of birth of cow, age of cow's dam, cow's sire, cow's weaning weight and cow's weaning age on Most Probable Producing Ability, as measured by calf weaning weights.
