The cultural inheritance of the generation of the 1960s and its continuing influence on American culture is examined, in order to verify if the feelings of that generation are still present today. The special characteristic of this generation was the seeking of a new society aimed at improving the qualitative aspects of life; one which discarded the quantitative, or merely economic successful, aspects.
