The mango hoppers and its control in Tripura

The mango hoppers and its control in Tripura

Pesticides 18(5): 13-14

Amritodus atkinsoni, Idioscopus niveosparsus (Chunrocerus niveosparsus) and I. clypealis all attack mango in India and are all found in Tripura State, causing extensive damage to the foliage but suffering heavy mortality after the flowering season, possibly owing to a fungus that was observed sticking the dead leafhoppers to the lower surface of the leaves. In control tests, 5 insecticides were applied in 10 litres of spray fluid per tree and their relative effectiveness was determined.
