The mass incidence of simuliosis - cutaneous reactions after bites by black flies of the family Simuliidae - in the summer season of 1981 in Bratislava

During the summer of 1981, 81 cases of cutaneous reactions in man to bites by Boophthora erythrocephala (Simulium erythrocephalum) were observed in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia, during swarming of the 2nd and 4th generations of the simuliid in June-July and September, respectively.
