The metabolism of fatty acids in undernourished pregnant ewes

The metabolism of fatty acids in undernourished pregnant ewes

Canadian Journal of Animal Science 64(Suppl.): 246-247

The apparent reesterification of fatty acids released during lipolysis in undernourished pregnant ewes was extensive, 397-682 g/day, and could account for up to 35% of maternal glucose production for the synthesis of glycerol-3-phosphate.
