The mineralization of nitrogen and urea conditioned with waste oils from the rubber industry

The mineralization of nitrogen and urea conditioned with waste oils from the rubber industry

Polish Journal of Soil Science 14(2): 111-118

In a model experiment, N-NH4 and N-NO3 washings from 3 series of soil monoliths into which were introduced, respectively, urea conditioned with waste oils from rubber industry, urea and agramid, were compared. The waste oils used for conditioning inhibited not only the ammonification and nitrification of N but the liberation of soil N as well. Urea coated with oils can be a source of S easily assimilated by plants.
