Information is presented on characters including parentage, growth period and fruit size, shape, colour, consistency and taste, of 6 strawberry cultivars (Addie, Brio, Cesena, Dana, Francesco and Savio), 2 table grape cultivars (Early Cardinal and Matilde), one pear cultivar (Precoce di Fiorano), one plum cultivar of the Japanese type (Calita), 5 clingstone peach cultivars for processing (Federica, Villa Doria, Villa Adriana, Villa Ada and Villa Giulia), 7 nectarine cultivars (Anderson, Weinberger, Pegaso, Croce del Sud, Nectaross, Andromeda and Cassiopea), 5 peach cultivars for fresh consumption (Appia, Domiziana, Emilia, Aurelia and Flaminia) and 2 sweet cherry cultivars (Burlat C1 and Nero IIC1). Brief information is also given on breeding aims in a number of crops.
