The US Bureau of Labour Statistics' (BLS) statistics concerning foodservice employment projection are updated, and those occupations which may feel the effects of a labour shortage are highlighted. It is projected that the foodservice industry will experience a shortage of 1.1 million workers unless employers make adjustments to such factors as pay or find new labour resources.
