The presence of infective larvae of Dictyocaulus viviparus inside sporangia of the fungus Pilobolus kleinii

Visual evidence for the occurrence of D. viviparus L3 inside sporangia of P. kleinii following ejection of the sporangia from the sporangiophores is presented. The results show no evidence for the transport of D. viviparus L3 on the outer surface of Pilobolus sporangia.
