Trypsin inhibiting activity of Vicia picta mutants during different stages of development

Trypsin inhibiting activity of Vicia picta mutants during different stages of development

Sibirskii Vestnik Sel' skokhozyaistvennoi Nauki (1): 38-42

The trypsin-inhibitory activity (TIA) of V. picta was studied in seeds, seedlings and mature plants grown from untreated seed (low or high TIA) or from gamma -irradiated or electromagnetically treated seed of low and high levels of inhibition, resp. TIA was consistently lower in seedlings than in the seeds. In seedlings from untreated seed, TIA declined between the 5th and 10th day after germination and increased again by the 15th day.
