Use of pheromones for control of Lymantria monacha

Use of pheromones for control of Lymantria monacha

Allgemeine Forstzeitung 97(1): 13-19

A report on studies conducted with disparlure traps in the Weinviertel (Lower Austria) in 1974-78. Traps were installed in square grid formations (1 per 1-4 ha), or in rows with 500 m between traps. Trapping rates are reported in relation to year, and stand, site and weather conditions. The effective trapping area for single traps was calculated as 2.63 ha (at av. temp. 9 degrees C between 10 pm and 2 am).
