Variation in the grain yield of maize and its quality in high-protein opaque-2 hybrids in relation to year and place of cultivation

Among several high-protein opaque-2 hybrids from lines derived by crossing opaque-2 forms with Illinois High Protein, studied during 1979-80 in the Moldavian SSR and the Kuban' area of European Russia, the appreciable differences in protein yield/ha were due not only to protein content but also to effects of environment and genotype X environment interaction.
