Vegetable production of Bacs-Kiskun in statistics

, : Vegetable production of Bacs-Kiskun in statistics. Kertgazdasag 17(3): 43-54

The natural conditions of Bacs-Kiskun favour the production of vegetables, and the region now accounts for 16% of Hungary's total vegetable production in value terms. Analyzing data from the last 23 years, production has increased despite variable sowing areas, but average yield is low and annual variation is high. The labour used in vegetable production is analyzed and the use of production incentives highlighted.
