Vegetation structure and soil depth in a microtransect

In structural studies of a grassland at Berrocal de la Espinera (820 m alt.), the grassland appeared to be a mosaic of more or less random spp. composition. However, near rocky outcrops, where the soil was shallow, there was a clear differentiation between vegetation types.
