Velocity-pressure distribution in grain bins - Brooker's model

, : Velocity-pressure distribution in grain bins - Brooker's model. International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering 21(6): 1067-1075

The pressure pattern of nonlinear airflow through a filled grain bin was obtained by numerically solving the partial differential equation modelling the flow. The finite element method (as implemented in an IMSL Inc. package TWODEPEP) was used to obtain the numerical approximation to the solution. The predicted isopressure lines were compared with other published computational results and with experimentally measured values.
