, : Ventricular parasystole in chronic Chagas' heart disease. Arquivos Brasileiros de Cardiologia 44(4): 261-265

Electrographic recordings were made in 17 patients with chronic chagasic cardiopathy and ventricular dysrrhythmias. Although in no case could constant mathematically related interectopic intervals be measured, the diagnosis of ventricular parasystole was considered possible in 9 with varying (<more or => 0.12 sec) coupling intervals. In 4 patients, ventricular parasystole was judged to be probable because fusion beats could be readily detected.
