Vertebral and spinal cord hydatidosis. Radiological and computed tomography findings in 36 cases

, : Vertebral and spinal cord hydatidosis. Radiological and computed tomography findings in 36 cases. Journal de Radiologie 66(3): 183-188

Thirty-six cases of hydatidosis of the spinal column, observed in Rabat, Morocco, from 1970 to 1984 are reviewed. The patients ranged in age from 4 to 62 years but the majority were between 20 and 40 years. The cysts were intraspinal, located in the bone or presented as Pott's disease. Each patient was investigated by conventional X-ray and by myelography and 10 were investigated by computed tomography before (in 4 cases) or after (6 cases) surgery.
