The maintenance and veterinary care at the zoo in the western sector of Berlin, GFR, of the 115 deer (19 species). Endoparasitic infections in species of Cervus have been limited over the years and no chemotherapy was generally necessary. Trichuris, Capillaria and gastrointestinal nematode infections have been high in Blastoceros dichotomous, Alces alces, Capreolus capreolus, Hydropotes inermis and Rangifer tarandus.
