The tasks of veterinary services in relation to inspection of milk and milk products during retail distribution in the Serbian republic of Yugoslavia are described. The products subject to inspection include not only pasteurized milk and milk products processed in the 25 dairy factories of the republic, but also raw milk delivered direct to homes from private farms, and white cheese and cream sold at 184 markets.
