Village restaurants

, : Village restaurants. Wies Wspoczesna 30(7(353)): 121-127

Despite the fact that restaurants have existed in rural areas of Poland since after World War II, they are still the most infrequently found services in villages. By the end of 1984 there were 4449 in the whole of Poland, with the capacity to serve 304 000 clients. In terms of facilities per 1000 village inhabitants the figure came to 20.5 places. The figures for Czechoslovakia, Hungary and GDR are four times as great. The structure of services provided is not particularly good.
