Viral antigen expression in the pancreas of DHBV-infected embryos and young ducks

, : Viral antigen expression in the pancreas of DHBV-infected embryos and young ducks. Virology 150(1): 276-282

In embryos congenitally infected with duck hepatitis B virus, the earliest detectable pancreatic cells possessing viral antigen were confined to pancreatic islets. Antigen appeared in other cells later in embryonic development, and many of them were exocrine cells.

A long-standing hypothesis for the adaptive radiation of macrostomatan snakes is that their enlarged gape - compared to both lizards and basal snakes-enables them to consume 'large' prey. At first glance, this hypothesis seems plausible,...

The objective of this study was to determine the degree of liking of ultra-pasteurized (UP) milk by 6 to 11 year olds. For comparative purposes, 2% UP milks were evaluated along with 2% conventionally pasteurized high temperature short time (HTST)...

By using an internal part of the dnaK gene from Bacillus megaterium as a probe, a 5.2-kb HindIII fragment of chromosomal DNA of Bacillus subtilis was cloned. Downstream sequences were isolated by in vivo chromosome walking. Sequencing of 5,085 bp...
