, : Viral antigen expression in the pancreas of DHBV-infected embryos and young ducks. Virology 150(1): 276-282

In embryos congenitally infected with duck hepatitis B virus, the earliest detectable pancreatic cells possessing viral antigen were confined to pancreatic islets. Antigen appeared in other cells later in embryonic development, and many of them were exocrine cells.
