Virulence of Central European populations of oat cown rust to standard differential varieties and derivatives of Avena sterilis L

, : Virulence of Central European populations of oat cown rust to standard differential varieties and derivatives of Avena sterilis L. Sbornik UVTIZ, Ochrana Rostlin 20(4): 257-266

In 1965-76, 25 races of Puccinia coronata avenae were identified in Czechoslovakia, races 228, 239, 240 and 265 being predominant. Of the 10 races in Austria in 1970-76, 228, 231, 240 and 265 were most widespread. On the basis of the reaction 9 isolines of the oat Penek with resistance genes of A. sterilis, the standard races were divided into 16 pathotypes, with up to 5 virulence genes.
