Mean daily gain in 2 groups of 12 Black Pied calves reared from 1 to 75 days old on whole milk, mixed concentrates, lucerne meal and hay in closed barns or in individual cages in open feedlots was 434.33 and 525.40 g. Feed unit intake was 4.7 and 3.5/kg gain.
