Weed control in transplanted rice (Oryza sativa L.) with post-emergence herbicides

Good selective weed control was obtained with the following formulated mixtures: thiobencarb + propanil and butachlor + propanil each at 3.6 and 4.8 kg/ha, and with molinate + propanil at 4.32 and 5.76 kg/ha. Oxadiazon + propanil each at 2.4 and 3.2 kg/ha caused initial yellowing of the upper part of rice leaves but the plants recovered. All treatments were made 20 days after transplanting and followed by propanil at 2.7 and 3.6 kg/ha.
