In field trials under weed free conditions, bromoxynil, MCPA, 2,4-D amine or ester, picloram or dicamba applied in combinations at highest recommended rates to winter wheat Buckskin at the 2- to 4-leaf, 5- to 7-tiller or early boot stage decreased yields and increased grain protein content, but differences between treated and untreated crops were not significant. Greatest and least reductions in yield followed applications at the early and intermediate stages, resp.
