A genetic analysis of stalk quality traits

In 6 diverse parental lines of Sorghum bicolor and the F1 progenies of their diallel cross, structural carbohydrates comprised between 50% and 65% of the dry matter and showed a negative correlation (R = -0.92) with the percentage of nonstructural carbohydrates. Other significant intertrait correlations were also noted.
