A rapid method of determining carotenoid pigment content of grains of spring durum wheat breeding material

High negative correlations were established between the carotenoid content of finely ground grain and its degree of reflectance when analysed spectrophotometrically with light waves of 400-487 nm (r = -0.76 to -0.92).
