A study on the effect of Azotobacter culture and phosphorus levels on grain yield and test weight of sorghum Var. CSH-5



Annals of Agricultural Science, Ain Shams University 31(2): 1227-1232



Sorghum was grown in a field experiment during the rainy season in 1983 at Allahabad, India. Treatments were seed inoculation with Azotobacter culture or no inoculation, and 0, 20, 40 or 60 kg P2O5/ha. Inoculation increased grain yield 20.8% and test yield 0.15% compared with control. Both grain yield and test wt of inoculated or non-inoculated plants increased with P rate.
