An insect growth regulator used for its ovicidal action in the control of the grape moths Lobesia botrana Den. & Schiff. and Eupoecilia ambiguella Hb

An insect growth regulator used for its ovicidal action in the control of the grape moths Lobesia botrana Den. & Schiff. and Eupoecilia ambiguella Hb

Revue Suisse de Viticulture, d' Arboriculture et d' Horticulture 19(3): 183-191

Fenoxycarb was tested against the eggs of Lobesia botrana and Eupoecilia ambiguella in many vineyards in Switzerland in 1985-86. Although the compound was highly active against freshly laid eggs of both species, practical control in the 1st generation was difficult because fenoxycarb was not systemic and plant growth was vigorous at the time. Treatment against 2nd-generation eggs was highly effective when applied early enough.
