The scale insect Anapulvinaria pistaciae damages Pistacia spp. in Greece but also excretes honeydew that is exploited by honeybees Anapulvinaria pistaciae had 1 generation a year. The adults appeared in early spring, the crawlers in May, the 1st-instar settled nymphs in the 2nd half of May or in June and the 2nd-instar nymphs in early autumn, overwintering in this stage.
