Trifolium pratense and Medicago sativa were cut during flowering and ensiled immediately or at 40% DM after 2 days of wilting. Formic acid as 85% solution was applied at 0-5 litre/t fodder at ensiling. In T. pratense, DM contents were 17-18.5% and 15-20%, CP contents 13.5-15.3% and 14.3-16% and CF contents 21.5-24.1% and 19.2-23.7%, before and after ensiling, resp.
