Assessment of different grafting methods for the vegetative propagation of tamarind (Tamarindus indica L.) in Piura, Peru



Turrialba 36(1): 99-104



Scions were grafted or budded onto Criollo rootstocks with diameters of 0.50-0.65 cm, 0.66-0.75 cm or 0.76-0.90 cm. Percentage take was highest with splice grafting and whip-and-tongue grafting (65.3 and 61.3%, respectively) and lowest with shield budding (9.3%).
