Assessment of suitable spraying occasions for winter cereal herbicides using meteorological data

Assessment of suitable spraying occasions for winter cereal herbicides using meteorological data

ITEA Informacion Tecnica Economica Agraria 18(71): 41-54

Meteorological data for the period 15 Dec. to 15 May, recorded at Zaragoza from 1961 to 1985, were studied. Results indicated that an annual av. of 20.4 days were suitable for spraying hormone herbicides on winter cereals, with a max. from 16 Mar. to 27 Apr. For residual herbicides, 30.7 days were suitable, with a min. in the first half of Feb. The av. for contact herbicides was 43.3 days, mainly from Feb. onwards.
