Assessment of yield losses in triticale cultivars due to brown rust

The 5 triticale cultivars were exposed to 3 different severities of natural infection by Puccinia recondita in the field by spraying with RH-124 at different rates. UPT-7449 had the lowest rust severity and yield loss but highest over-all rate of loss (0.57%), followed by UPT-72142 having moderate rust, yield loss and over-all rate of loss (0.39%).
